Seresto collar for dogs - Flea and tick collar

Seresto is a flea and tick collar that combines two next-generation molecules: imidacloprid and flumethrin. Due to its patented polymer matrix, the Seresto collar gradually releases a controlled, low dose of molecules that protect your dog.

The Seresto collar offers long-lasting protection for up to 8 months against ticks and between 7 and 8 months against fleas and lice. The Seresto collar is water resistant and continues to be effective, even if your dog is wet.

The Seresto collar can be included as part of a flea allergy dermatitis (FAD) treatment programme.

Seresto collar - Instructions for use

Seresto collars are grey and odourless. They are available in two sizes:

• Small dogs (under 8 kg) = small 38 cm collar
• Large dogs (over 8 kg) = large 70 cm collar

The Seresto collar is effective as soon as it is placed around your dog's neck. It works effectively against ticks after 2 days. We therefore recommend removing any ticks you might seen when you put the collar on your dog.

Adjust the Seresto collar by gently pulling on the collar and leaving enough space for two fingers between the collar and your dog's neck. The end of the collar can be cut off; be sure to leave an extra 2 cm after the buckle.

Seresto collars are also available for cats.

Seresto collar - Contraindications

Do not use on puppies under 7 weeks of age.

Besides fleas on your dog, there might also be flea eggs, flea larvae and nymphs in your dog's environment. These can also develop into fleas and infect your dog. We recommend treating your dog's environment with the appropriate spray, such as Virbac's Indoor-X.
