    More info

    Caninsulin insulin syringes

These syringes are specifically made to inject Caninsulin into dogs or cats. These syringes are calibrated for an insulin dosage of 40 IU/ml (Caninsulin).

    Caninsulin syringes - benefits

    The benefits are as follows:

    • The syringes have graduated marks every 1 UI, making it easier to inject small dosages (especially for cats and small dogs suffering from diabetes).
    • The needle of the syringes is crimped, limiting the amount of dead space at the tip, thereby minimising the amount of Caninsulin lost each time it is injected.
    • Each syringe is packaged in a sterile wrapper.
    • Syringes are available in 2 sizes:
      • 0.5 ml with a 29 G needle
      • 1 ml with a 29 G needle

Caninsulin is a pork insulin, and is used to treat diabetes mellitus in dogs and cats in order to regulate glycaemia (level of blood sugar).

Caninsulin injections must be administered subcutaneously; in other words, into the fat layer between the skin and the muscle. This is done by taking a fold of skin between the thumb and the index finger and injecting the Caninsulin into the skin fold under the thumb and index finger.

        Quality product

My mothers dog is diabetic and she has used several different syringes but says that these are the best as they are easier to use as they have a very fine needle.
